Program Overview

The Senior Gold Program was established and is managed by; The Senior Positive Initiative Forum (SPIF)
Ridgefield First Selectman, Ridgefield Commission on Aging, Ridgefield Police & Fire Departments, Ridgefield Social ServicesRidgefield Parks & Recreation, Founders Hall, Ridgefield Visiting Nurses, Ridgefield Community Center, Ridgefield Clergy Association, Ridgefield Owls, Ridgefield Economic & Community Development Commission.

Purpose: To help Ridgefield Seniors enjoy the amenities of our community at a reasonable discount.

Eligibility: Town residents age 65 and older qualify for this program. A CT drivers license or CT ID card must be presented to obtain a Gold Card. Cards will be available in the Information Office of Town Hall, Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

Benefit: To take advantage of any benefits offered in this program, you must present your card to the Program Merchant or participating donor. Gold Card holders may be asked to provide additional identification substantiating age or Ridgefield residency. 

Restrictions: Gold Card holders must meet all qualifications of the program noted above in order to obtain a Gold Card and access to its benefits. Each Gold Card is non transferable, for use solely by the individual whose signature appears on the card. Evidence of misuse may result in forfeiture of your Gold Card.

All benefits or discounts are subject to change without notice at the discretion of the donor.

Replacement: You may incur a $25 replacement fee for lost cards under certain circumstances.

Background
The Ridgefield Senior Gold Card is free to residents age 65 and older. Gold Card holders receive free or discounted merchandise & services from numerous town departments, organizations and businesses. It is Ridgefield’s way of thanking senior citizens for their many years of loyalty to our community .
