 Why an Incubator Without Walls?
Ridgefield’s IWOW is a public/private partnership, and its success relies on a lean operation. and modern resources. With so many home-based and cloud-based new businesses in town, using the Internet as IWOW’s hub creates an easily accessible program for all.
What is a Business Incubator?
Business incubators like IWOW have become common in communities throughout the U.S., offering “hands-on advice” to assist start-ups in their most fragile state: the beginning. Many entrepreneurs have great ideas, but not all the business knowledge they need and often can’t foot the bill for a group of trusted advisors. Incubators fill this critical gap.
And, with many emerging home-based start-ups, incubators like IWOW can offer physical space for meetings, inexpensive use of business machines, periodicals, forms, and other materials. But, unlike some business incubators, Ridgefield’s IWOW will offer complementary advisory services, networking opportunities, and seminars to help your business grow.

The entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well in Ridgefield today! I’d like to introduce you to Ridgefield’s Incubator Without Walls (IWOW), an important public/private resource for entrepreneurs. IWOW was created to offer advice and important resources to help Ridgefield-based startups launch successfully.
Each week, five new businesses are created in Ridgefield, which more than doubles the national average. But often these businesses fail due to inexperienced management or a lack of critical guidance.
By creating IWOW, Ridgefield is committing to the long-term health and growth of its business community, and ensuring that the business portion of our Grand List remains healthy and strong for years to come.
